Liturgical Ministries

Liturgical Ministries

Liturgical Ministries help the congregation encounter Christ through an impactful worship and liturgical experience.

Altar Server

  • Altar Servers assist the clergy in celebrating the Sacred Liturgy, especially the sacrifice of the Holy Mass.

Eucharistic Minister

  • After the consecration, Eucharistic ministers distribute the body and blood of Christ to the parish community present at the mass.

Lectors

  • Lectors may proclaim the readings, do weekly announcements, and/or lead the prayers of the faithful.

Liturgical Arts and Environment

  • Decorate the sanctuary in celebration of the liturgical seasons.

Music Ministries (including Youth Choir)

  • Use the gift of voice and instrument to lead the parish community in liturgical celebrations through music.

 

Ushers

  • Ushers are responsible for greeting those entering, helping everyone find seats, guiding the offering and communion, ringing the bells, and anything to ensure a smooth mass. 

Votive candles

  • Volunteers are responsible for straightening up the church ensuring music books and other materials are neatly stored in the pews after weekend masses and replacing votive candles.
