Following is the catalogue of over 70 auction items available for your bidding at our second annual Oktoberfest Dinner Auction on October 21. Tickets to this event are available for only three weekends beginning September 16 unless they sell out sooner. We thank our many donors for a wonderful variety of experiences, activities, and gift certificates for meals, self-care, experiences and other items. The auction also features a lovely selection of baskets curated by parishioners with varied themes.

Your Christmas will be brighter when you celebrate with a little less stress in getting to the church on time! Donor: St. Barbara Parish. Value: Priceless! As you glide through the shimmering waters, you might find your host skillfully dodging the take-off and landing of seaplanes, adding an extra dash of excitement to your journey. This exceptional experience is available during the late spring and summer months, promising an unforgettable adventure in the heart of Seattle's beauty. This will likely be an active experience and passengers must be able to quickly move from side to side depending on the wind. 3. Sourdough By Kathy and Clive: Enjoy delicious homemade sourdough bread baked fresh from parishioner Kathy French’s kitchen. Made with organic ingredients and 100% naturally fermented, this monthly subscription will make your evening meal even more special as you gather to break bread and share your day. Bread basket includes two sourdough Pain de Mie (white) sandwich loaves with a bow bread knife. Beginning in December 2023, you will receive two fresh loaves delivered during the first week of every month through November 2024. 4. “Make a Joyful Noise” with front row reserved parking and pew seating on Easter Morning (10:00 Mass)! Your morning will be more joyful with the peace of knowing parking and a pew will be waiting for you – no need to rush into church hoping there will be a space to seat your family. ALLELUIA! 5. Nativity Set from the extensive collection of Father Dave Rogerson. You may now have one of the hundreds of Nativity Sets featured in St. Barbara’s narthex during Advent over the past many years. 6. Cruise Beautiful Lake Sawyer during the summer of 2024 with your hosts Bob and Janie Edelman. Six people will enjoy a late afternoon/evening summer cruise around the lake with a historic narration provided by Janie. Hearty appetizers and beverages will be served followed by Music on the Lake. The boat will be anchored near a dock to listen to local musicians play their tunes. Dates for Music on the Lake will be announced in Spring 2024 and will be coordinated with the high bidder. 7. Lake House Getaway on Hicks Lake (Lacey): Relax in this newly updated cute and cozy one bedroom cottage which sleeps four for a two-night getaway. Watch the geese and Bald Eagles soar overhead with a glass of wine on the deck. Enjoy the seasonal changes of fall, winter and early spring with a lake view. “Camp Midles” can be used as a base to visit the local area or just relax and enjoy this peaceful lake getaway. Wine Tasting at Sigillo Cellars: Six adults will enjoy a tasting flight of current Sigillo Cellars wines paired with a complimentary charcuterie board to share while you relax in their beautiful tasting room in Historic Downtown Snoqualmie. Each couple will receive a bottle of their favorite wine, plus small bites to enjoy, complimentary of your hosts, Stephen and Valerie Winston Healy. 11. Traditional Italian Dinner: The Quinn family invites you to embark on a tantalizing journey with their Italian dinner experience. 12. Snowshoe Trek for Four: Have you ever considered heading out to embrace the best of the PNW in the winter? If you've never been snowshoeing, or it's been a while, this is a great introductory trek! You will snowshoe a maximum of six miles with the option to turn around early. This winter adventure will take you through beautiful forest land to a lakeshore and campground turned into a winter wonderland! Warm up with hot chocolate and snacks at the lake before returning to the car. Included: snowshoes, poles, permits, snacks and hot cocoa, and transportation from St. Barbara Church. Trek is recommended for ages 12+, although young children can be carried by their parents (and will not count toward the 4 snowshoers). Expiration date March 31, 2024. 38. St. Barbara Blanket: Own a piece of St. Barbara history! This historic and never used blanket was part of fundraising efforts to build our new church building, which was dedicated in May 1997. The blanket features a rendering of our beautiful church. Prominent are the unique stained glass windows reflecting the history and role of St. Barbara parish during the coal mining era of the early 1900s. Founded in 1911, St. Barbara Catholic church supported the bustling community spiritually and socially as we continue to do today. Fundraising price was $100.00. Donors: Barbara and Phil Schile.
