Preschool Through Grade 12
Welcome to the St. Barbara Religious Education. Religious Education at St. Barbara
church is so much fun. Classes are short and powerful in order to help your family find
balance in today’s busy world. You won’t find boring classes here. We recruit
exciting teachers who love kids and life. When class is in session, you can feel the
energy and excitement. You can see Christ at work.
The Religious Education Staff is proud to say that we have nearly 160 teachers and
helpers who come together for the 541 teens and little kids who come to the classes.
If you have been away from the practice of religion for a while, we welcome you home.
Come bring the kids. Celebrate the beautiful sacraments of Baptism, Penance, First Holy
Communion and Confirmation with us.
Classes for teens in grades 6 through 12 are held in the Fall. Here, we give teens
exactly what they need. During any session you find exciting life topics, community
speakers, retreats near beautiful Mt. Rainier and "rock-n-roll" with parish
guitarist, Chuck Buser.
During the winter, here comes the pitter patter of little feet and the smiling faces of
kids and teachers. The little kids — preschool through grade 5 — gather on
Wednesday nights. Loving teachers introduce Jesus, Church, kindness, and the three magic
words, "I Love You", to the little children. The joy that is in the air will
fill your heart. After all is said and done, the kids know they have been a part of a
special faith and a special place, St. Barbara Church.
